Safety concerns CPSC is investigating safety concerns with magnetic fidget balls and other magnet products. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is a federal agency that ensures the safety of consumer products. They publish accident reports, investigate and recall dangerous toys and fight for the rights of consumers.
While CPSC has worked to limit the sale of magnetic products, there are still serious injuries and deaths associated with ingesting these items. They can cause intestinal blockage, infection, and injury to internal organs. If you think you may have swallowed one of these magnets, contact your poison control center right away.
