How To Install A Warehouse Cargo Lift Successfully And Safely?

Installing a warehouse cargo lift is very essential in improving the efficiency of moving goods from one floor to another in a warehouse.

Installing a warehouse cargo lift is very essential in improving the efficiency of moving goods from one floor to another in a warehouse. A successful and safe installation ensures the smooth running and long life of the lift. Below is a detailed guide on how to install a warehouse lift from MOSTAR LIFT step by step.

Step 1: Make Sure That the Center Position is Clear for Installation

Measure the middle point of the installation position before starting the installation. Check for the correct distance between the two guide rails and mark them clearly on the installation site.

Step 2: Fix One Side Guide Rail

First, fit one side of the guide rail. It's vital to test and adjust its perpendicularity, making sure it has a totally perpendicular distance from top to bottom. Once aligned, fix the bottom of the guide rail using bolts. This step is very critical for the smooth operation of the warehouse cargo lift.

Step 3: Fixing the Other Side Guide Rail

Install guide rail two using the same procedure as guide rail one. Again, make sure to square the measurement from top to bottom so that the lift platform will operate smoothly.

Step 4: Install Upper Guide Rails

For a warehouse cargo lift whose height of lift is 3000mm, the overall height of travel guide rails will be 5500mm. To facilitate installation, the guide rail shall be divided into two parts. Connect the lower and upper halves for a guide rail by plug-in followed by simple welding to tighten up the connection.

Step 5: Connect the Fixed Rectangular Tube for One Side Guide Rail

After the guide rails have been fixed, connect the guide rail to the wall or mezzanine by the rectangular tubes provided. The type of connection method to be used may vary at times depending on the installation site.

Step 6: Connection and Fixing of Beams

Once these two guide rails are perfectly secured, connect the upper two beams between the guide rails. The step will stabilize the lift structure. After the beams are connected, do simple welding that will ensure the stability of the beams.

Step 7: Connect the Fixed Rectangular Tube for the Other Guide Rail

Like the other side, attach the second guide rail to the wall using the rectangular tube, then weld simply at all joints.

Step 8: Connect the Pump Station Electric Wires

Finally, connect the mains supply with the control box, followed by the main power cord of the pump station to the control box, making sure that all the joints are tightly connected.

Step 9: Hydraulic Oil Tubes Connection

Connect hydraulic oil tubes from the pump station to the two hydraulic cylinders. Also, fix the anti-explosion valve between the hydraulic cylinder and the tubes to ensure safety.

Step 10: Test Running of the Warehouse Cargo Lift

Before the installation of the platform, test run the two platform brackets. Ensure that they go up and down smoothly. This step is very critical for the safe running of the small cargo lift.

Step 11: Install the Platform of the Lift

Place the platform on the brackets and weld the bottom connections to full weld. This step is easy but very vital for the running of the small cargo lift.

Step 12: Install the Platform Doors

The detachable platform doors are designed to save on shipping space. These doors have fitted interlocking devices that prevent the lift operation in case the doors are not well closed. In case one of the doors opens during operation, the lift stops automatically.

Step 13: The Limit Switches are Fixed

The final step is the setting of the limit switches at the ground floor and the exact lifting height. Again, an additional safety highest limit switch is installed at the second floor to prevent excessive designed lifting height of the lift.

Conclusion

Follow these steps to successfully and safely install a warehouse or small cargo lift. Proper installation guarantees that it works efficiently, is safe, and meets your warehouse operations. Contact MOSTAR LIFT to get these lifts and not only these, get quality and safety commitment.
