Jeonbuk defeats Cebu 6-0 in first leg of ACL 2nd leg...semi-pro Jin Tae-ho scores goal

Professional soccer team Jeonbuk Hyundai opened its Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League 2 (ACL2) campaign with a convincing win over DH Cebu in the Philippines.

Jeonbuk thrashed Cebu 6-0 in the first leg of their 2024-2025 ACLE Group H away leg at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines on Monday.

18-year-old high school standout Jin Tae-ho scored a goal and an assist, including the game-winner, to lead Jeonbuk to victory.

ACL2 is the “second tier” of the Asian club competition.

The original Champions League (ACL) will be split into two top-tier competitions, the Champions League Elite (ACLE) and ACL2, starting this season.

Jeonbuk will compete in ACL2 after finishing fourth in K League 1 in the 2023 season.

Cebu earned a spot in ACL2 as the runner-up in the 2024 Philippine League, which ended in July.

Jeonbuk, which has a long way to go as it sits in 10th place in the relegation zone in the K League 1, has assembled a squad of B-team and youth players for the trip to the Philippines.

Jin Tae-ho, Seo Jeong-hyeok, and Han Seok-jin, the “Expectant Three” who signed semi-professional contracts in May from the club's youth team Youngsanggo, were named to the roster. Of the three, Jin Tae-ho started the match, while the other two started from the bench.

Jin Tae-ho scored Jeonbuk's first goal in the 15th minute, finishing a cross from the right side by Kim Tae-hwan with his head.

After scoring his professional debut goal, Jintaeho also assisted on Kim Chang-hoon's second goal in the 36th minute, earning him a debut assist.

Jin Tae-ho flicked the ball off his head in the box, and Kim Chang-hoon, who was rushing in from the left side of the goal area, finished with his left foot.

Jeonbuk added a goal from Moon Sun-min in the 46th minute to make it 3-0 at halftime.

With the victory in hand, Jeonbuk went on a goal-fest in the second half.

Park Jae-yong scored off an assist from Moon Sun-min in the fourth minute of the second half, and Yoo Je-ho rattled the net in the 29th minute with a direct shot from a free kick over the defense.

In the 32nd minute, Park Chae-joon took a pass from substitute Han Seok-jin and shot from the right corner of the goal to seal the 6-0 victory.  카지노사이트 추천
